Check in between 3:00 pm and 4:30 pm. Arriving later? Just tell us ahead of time. We will set up an easy self check-in.
Check out by 10:00 am. Late departures incur a $30 fee.
Your first night is charged when you book. The remaining balance is charged to your card on file 3 days before arrival.
Plans change. We get it. Please give us seven or more days of notice. Cancellations incur a $35 fee per room. Within seven days of arrival, the deposit is forfeited.
Group and holiday stays need thirty days of notice. Cancelling 8 to 14 days out costs $100 per room. Within seven days, the deposit is forfeited. There are no refunds for late arrivals, early exits, no-shows, or weather.
Free parking sits behind the hotel. Each room gets one space. The hotel is not liable for theft or damage. Public lots are steps away.
Extra guests are $25 per night each. This includes children over age two. Several rooms offer cots and sleeper sofas. See the rooms for details.
The Tahoe Star is a strictly non-pet hotel. Service animals are always welcome. Traveling with a furry friend? The Truckee Tahoe Pet Lodge is just down the street. Call them at (530) 582-7268.
Our property is strictly non-smoking. That covers the rooms, the buildings, and the deck. Violations incur a $300 cleaning fee.
